The Sun links up with O2 to offer Premier League clips with 4G deals

Premier League: Chelsea v Manchester United

The Sun has agreed a deal with national wide mobile company, O2. O2 are offering their 4G customer’s user’s content which contains Premier league football goals clips, this can help and transform the Sun digital subscription offers. O2 are the second largest mobile network with 23 million customers, now with The Sun offering their mobile package could increase and boost their subscribers. As well as football video highlights, O2 subscribers will get access to thesun.co.uk and the Sun's mobile and tablet apps. O2 are now offering new customers  this service and existing customers who can upgrade, giving them a chose to upgrade with the 4G use and The Sun +service. The Sun will not be getting £2 a week from each customer when they sign up. The Sun is the Uk’s biggest – selling newspapers signed up with 117,000 subscribers.
  • A 4G plan with 5GB of data priced at £22 a month will come with six months' free access to Sun+. With an 8 GB data package, priced at £27 a month, customers will get 12 months' free Sun+ access.
  • In the coming months, O2 will promote the deal in its marketing campaigns, including TV and print ads as well as extensively throughout its nationwide network of mobile phone stores.
  •  O2's 4G network currently reaches about 30% of the UK population. The mobile operator also offers content including its O2 Tracks and Priority Sports service
  • While Premier League football highlights will be the biggest draw, Sun+ has been building its array of content and sports rights.
  • Last year, O2 was an unsuccessful bidder in the £30m battle for the three-year deal for the digital highlights rights to Premier League matches, in which the Sun triumphed.
I think that O2 have found a huge and big gap in the market to offer their customers, clips of football goals on thier phone. Already having many of the other services O2 have, it will alow them to expand their business and increase sales and reputation for the business and become the largest mobile networking in the country. Also, they have team up with a popular and well trusted company with this service and this offer, The Sun has a lot of customers from using this service of showing clips and videos to the customers via the thought thier own website, however, they have team up with O2 because they know that they are a popular mobile networking, used around the country by million and a great way to target more customers to use the service. By having this service, it will attact more people to use both service, O2 and the The Sun.

Post - colonialism

Post - Colonialism

The representation of ethnicity and race of the Olympic opening ceremony is that there are many people who different cultures and religion feature in the ceremony, As in the ceremony, it very diverse and has a range of different people within the ceremony, as they are from different countries, and are different races within the feature in the ceremony. As the director, Danny Boyle want to show how multicultural Britain and the world are , as millions of people can live in this country and be equal and have the same rights than anyone else in the country. As they have everyone from the common races – Black people, White people, mixed race, Indian and many more. As they want to portray London as a capital/country as a non-racist country, especially allowing millions of people to their country to watch the London Games in 2012. As Alvado’s theory, many would say that the main factor featured for the Olympic games, was the main characters within the ceremony, as they say that humorous factors features in the ceremony, as the characters were very funny, and humorous toward each other’s, as the audience can see this, as in common to black people they are humerous, as in the cermony, they use a elemenet of pitty as the audince want them  to fall in love with each other during the cermoney, as they fo throught many decades just to find each other and fall in love.

In the News Papers Article, they celebrate the London games  2012 Cermony, in a negative and unpostive way to the gernal public, as they are a very left wing newspaper, their morale and views are very negative to million of people in the country. As they feature a story about the NHS on their newspaper, writiing about a small boy who was killed by the NHS for not suppling him with a glass for water, when the bioy was in hospital.this will lead to Alvardo Theory's this goes into the factor od dangerous and pitted, as the audicne will feel sorry and upset for the boy killed by the NHS, they'll feel that the NHS is a negative busienss or the gernal public, and feel that people should use private service for them selve.

The Nine Commandement of Twitter are

The Nine Commandment of Twitter is

CofE Twitter bio

The Church of England has come up with a new method of teaching others, who use smart phone and are more digital with society, and has made up a new list of the nine commandments for the Twitter faithful.as they want the user to think just before they post a story or an article on the social networking site, Twitter. As they first want to you think about 'would I want my mum to read this? Would I want God to read this? And lastly, is this my story to share?

The Nine Commandment of Twitter is:
1. Don't rush in
2.Remember updates are transient, yet permanent
3.You are an ambassador for the church
4.Do not hide behind anonymity
5.Think about the blurring of public/private life boundaries
6.Safeguarding: communicating directly online is like mewing someone in private
7.Stay within the legal framework
8.Respect confidentiality
9.Be mindful of your own security

"Essentially, you should participate online in the same way as you would in any other public forums. Your actions should be consistent with your work and Christian values and you take responsibility for the things you do, say or write,"

I think that this is very weird and confusing story and raises a lot of issues within the social media factors and religion. The question is that' can we talk about religion, cultures, sexuality and race on social networking sites like Facebook and twitter, would people feel offend if someone talks about someone else religion or culture. This church is making sure that if someone does want to write something on the social media and post it, they have to follow these rules and commandments in order to avoid making this mistake.

Stan Collymore returns to Twitter and hits out at the Sun

Stan Collymore returns to Twitter and hits out at the Sun

http://www.theguardian.com/media/2014/jan/23/stan-collymore-twitter-sun-racist-abuse

Stan Collymore

Stan Collymore has criticised and wrote comments about the one of the leading top newspapers, The Sun, as the ex-football star has returned to social networking site, Twitter. This was after his spending account which twitter stopped him, using over racist abuse that he received on this site. The former England striker, has over 500, 000 Twitter followers, traded word about The Sun, as he spoke out about his ex-girlfriend Ulrika Jonsson, as she accused him being ‘hypocrisy’, she said that the affair was a distraction from the issuer of online abuse.  The ex-football player had his account suspended earlier last year, as he had a police investigation, which found "horrific" racist abuse, including death threats.

"The Sun newspaper thought that dragging up a 15-year-old story this morning, which bears no relevance to being abused or threats, that that means there's essentially a justification … that because it's Stan Collymore it's OK … there is a real issue here that Twitter needs to tackle."
He added: "There are people who are using a 15-year-old story to say 'Well you did this 15 years ago, so therefore now in 2014, not 1998, you don't deserve to be speaking out about someone writing in a box "I am going to turn up to your house and murder you".'" Also, He replied: "I've never been convicted of anything other than speeding, so maybe you'd like to retract that."
I think that Stan Collymore is pretty lucky of still having his Twitter account, as he has a past of being rude and using racist comment on a popular social networking site, as million of people will see these comment and will report him. As he is a popular person and well known to million of people due to his football career, many people look up to him and are inspired by him on/ off the pitch. As he is a role model to others. When the audience hear this story about the comment he said then they'll judge him, also to the Sun readers, they'll judge him as well, as they are very left wing toward the Sun newspaper

This is a part of the dangerous

12 Years of Slave

In this trailer, it begins with a number of black people working on a field, picking cotton, wearing sun hats and white shirts. As this is happening the white people are on top of the horse and riding it on the field, this suggest and connote the code of convention of the film  as in this shot/scene of the film, as its show that the slavery movie, just from the clothes, body language and the actions. As part of colonialism, it showed that white people were in charger and had control over people; they had the right and laws to take over and control other ethnicity groups like black people, as part of Alvarado’s theory, this film and this scene, as this will fall into the dangerous and pitied as well, as the whole trailer and film has a huge element of pitted and dangerous, as we as the audience feel sorry and are worried for the characters, as they are being hit with many weapons, just for the colour of their skin. The audience will feel pitted for characters (black ale dominant) throughout the film and the trailer. The audience will feel this, because they’ll see many scenes of black people being wiped and hit with many different objective throughout the film. As in one scene, the sound of the trailers changes and shows a sense of pride happening in the film, as there are many scenes which shows that he want to leave and still has hope of achieve, as the sound from the trailer and some of the images shown shows a contrapuntal sound, negative images with a positive and uplifting sound for the trailer.

Django Unchained

The beginning of the trailers starts with non-diegetic sound playing in the background of the scene, as the music has a western sound at the beginning, as this set the genre at the film at the beginning of the film. As at the beginning it set the genre of western film due to the sound, as this set the code of convention of guns, horses, weapons and bars. However, the first scene starts with black male walking, showing no facial emotion, only see the back of their head, but the audience can see chains, chaining the men up, as the audience can see that wipe marks and bruise on the male backs, as they are fresh and ripped apart, as this connote that this is a slavery movie, just from the clothes, body language and the actions. As part of colonialism, it showed that white people were in charger and had control over people; they had the right and laws to take over and control other ethnicity groups like black people. As part of franz’s theory, django is a character who describe his theory, that all black wear white face, as he is a black person who  is not a slave and working with the white people.

Film

This is a part of the dangerous factor of Alvarado’s theory, as lather is a very creative man, who does get into problem as he’s  is a police officer and is always in danger and always has to solve problem and issue. Also he is a dangerous man. Who has problems and somehow always get me in to problems and danger. As Luther is a person who is a police office and often see people in trouble and has to help them everyday, as he always has to solve problem in every episode.

Television

This is a part of the humorous factor of Alvarado’s theory, as will smith is a comedian who is on television making people laugh, by the things he says and the things he does in the show, as he funny and humours, and very stupid throughout of the whole of the series, Will Smith as he is a iconic people of making people laugh, as he starts in these types of films and television shows.

Music Video

This is a part of the exotic factor of Alvarado’s theory, beyonce is a very sexy and creative women, who is very iconic by the things she does and says and even wears in many of her music video like 1+1 and run the world (girls). As she is a very attractive and hot women in many of her video, as she show the audience her body and her flesh, as she a Carmel colours, to gather audience this colour is very attractive, as many would want to be this colours and follow her footstep and be her.

This is a part of the pitty factor of Alvarado’s theory, this character is being hurt by her family and friends about her weigh, as the audience feel sorry and are upset for her as she is the victim of the whole story without the film

Google reveals smart contact lens

Google reveals smart contact lens

Google have introduce a new eye lenses, uses a minuscule glucose sensor and a wireless transmitter to help those among the world’s 382 million diabetics, people who need insulin inside their body. As they need this inside their blood and sugar. Google say they’ll take up to five years to design it and give it to the consumers.  The lenses contain two twinkling glitter specks that’s are loaded with tens of thousand of miniaturised transistors. This is one of the designs by huge companies to make glucose monitoring for diabetic patients more convenient.

  • “We’re testing a smart contact lens that we built that measures the glucose levels in tears using a tiny wireless chip and a miniaturised glucose sensor,” explained the Google X project leader for the smart contact lens, Brian Otis.
  • “We’ve had to work really hard to develop tiny, low-powered electronics that operate on low levels of energy and really small glucose sensors,” Mr Otis said at Google’s Silicon Valley headquarters.

I think that Google want to do something very good for diabetic people, who are ill and losing their eye sight, as this might million of people in the future, but people will have to wait for five years for this to happens, so other company might to the same and copy the idea and try and produce it before goggle does it in the future, which might be a negative factor for the business.

BBC targets social media users with Instagram video news

BBC targets social media users with Instagram video news

BBC news mobile consumption overtakes desktop

BBC News has now created insafax; it’s a new short from video new service, which has been created for the new audience on the social media platform who use the mobile and social networking sites, Instagram. On January 16, BBC has created this in order to show the news to a new audience who don’t they the news show on this sites and this platform. As this is a month long term experiment, as it features three 15-second video are uploaded every day, also a headline serve of the main events, which has happened on the day. On this site, people can give feedback and say whatever they want on this site. As the BBC want this to be a success as they want to target a new platform of people who use this sites like instagram and Facebook.
  • "We want the process to be organic, and we're keen to trial new ideas on how we can use our video content to reach new audiences," Herrmann said
  • Instafax viewers are being encouraged to comment and give feedback. So far it has had mixed reactions ranging from "Instafax is a game changer" to "worst idea ever"
  • James Harding has been clear in his vision to find innovative ways to bring the best of our journalism to new audiences, something our team has been looking at for some time."

I think that it’s a creative and good way of producing the news on these sites, as they want to target younger people to show and use their service, as they want younger people to have the knowledge of everything in the world. As it a very good way of give young people a chance of using and read the news more. As young people are more likely to use this site and watch these videos, as they are fast and quick and get to the point very fast.
