Sherlock mini-episode gets 6m views

The mini-episode of Sherlock Holmes has got over 6 million view since being available at Christmas, however, fans can only see the video on the BBC iPlayer and via the red button. The mini- episode was released on the BBC IPlayer on Christmas Eve; the episode is called “Many Happy Returns”. The episode was designed and created by co- founder and executive producer Mark Gatiss, who recently said, “the episode has also had 4.5 million views on the BBC's YouTube channel”. It was made for the upcoming new series for the Sherlock fans debuting on New Years day. Mark Gattis also said, talking about the new series and the show "There's been an amazing response to Many Happy Returns," said Mark Gatiss, co-creator and executive producer of Sherlock. "It vividly demonstrates that we're all enjoying TV in different ways now." The first episode back is called “The Empty Hearse” as its answering question of Sherlock Holmes surviving from jumping off a building and faking his own death, as its being two years since this has happened.
Mark Gatiss lastly said
"We're delighted that the audience in there millions enjoyed the Sherlock mini-episode we commissioned exclusively for BBC iPlayer," said Victoria Jaye, head of TV content for the BBC IPlayer. "As we develop BBC iPlayer to be a primary entertainment destination, we'll be offering more 'made for BBC iPlayer content' around our big brands, as well as originating entirely new formats exclusive to the service."


"I think that the Sherlock Holmes stories are very interesting and problem solving to understanding as well, as Sherlock Holmes is a very weird and creative person, so having him back in to the viewer eyes is a mind puzzle, as the viewer loves the way he solve a problem and loves the relationship with his co- worker, Moreover, the lack factor in human natural and feeling. Also having this episode will allow the viewer a short teaser of the series show them which way the story will go, as many people will watch it as its Christmas and families will stay in and watch the programs."
